Chateau Malartic-Lagraviere 2016
Grand cru ranked of Pessac-Leognan
96/100 James Suckling
Drinking potential: Drink until 2032
I love its deep and complex nose, where the blackcurrant and mint of the Cabernet Sauvignon blend harmoniously with the generous blackberry of the ripe Merlot, while the vanilla and toasty notes from the oak are beautifully integrated. On the palate, it reveals itself gradually; the first impression is of a ripe and delicate wine, then the fine tannins assert themselves powerfully and illuminate the palate. Very long finish. Drink now or cellar.
