Pommard 1er Cru Les Chaponnières 2019 - Bouchard Père et Fils
En direct de la propriété - Grand vin de Bourgogne
Bouchard Père & Fils' 2019 Pommard Premier Cru Les Chaponnières is the perfect embodiment of the elegance and power of great Côte de Beaune reds. From a renowned terroir just below the Rugiens, this prestigious climat benefits from ideal exposure and clay- and iron-rich soils, producing structured, complex wines. The sunny, perfectly ripe 2019 vintage here offers an expressive nose of ripe black fruit, cherry, with spicy notes, undergrowth and a subtle floral touch. Dense and fleshy on the palate, with a fine, well-integrated tannic structure.
Good to know:
This wine reveals great length and remarkable freshness, balancing out the richness of the vintage. It represents a cuvée par excellence for laying down, capable of improving for 10 to 15 years or more, yet already offering definite pleasure after decanting. At the table, this Pommard Premier Cru is the ideal accompaniment to dishes with character: fillet of beef en croûte, jugged hare or mature cheeses such as Epoisses or aged Comté. A great Burgundy classic from one of the region's most emblematic estates.
