Aloxe Corton 2019 - Nicolas Rossignol
Geographical location: Just below the hill of Corton-Charlemagne and next to the Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru les Fichots.
Soil and environment: Deep, very red soil due to the high iron content in the soil, which gives it a particular aromatic and gustatory style.
The vine: Mixture of two plots, one of about 20 years old and the other of almost 70 years old.
The wine: Each year this wine has more animal than fruity aromas. On the palate, its rich tannins like red Corton can accompany red meat dishes. 100% de-stemmed without crushing, the grapes naturally go into fermentation with very little punching down to preserve its finesse.
