Description: "The 180 hectares of vines in the small village of Chambolle-Musigny are a gentle interlude in the range of the famous vineyards of the Côte de Nuits. Chambolle-Musigny has 24 premiers crus in addition to its famous grands crus, Bonnes Mares and Musigny. "Les Chatelots" refers here to the Latin word "Castellum" which means "water reservoir, water tower". This name may have been given because the land retained for a long time the water that rushed through it when the Grône (a river) overflowed. This limestone soil is known to produce delicately scented and very harmonious wines".
Fermentation: Traditional in open vats, 100% malolactic.
Ageing: 10 to 12 months in oak barrels, 40% new
Barrels: Tonnellerie Louis Latour, French oak, medium toast
Tasting: Our Chambolle-Musigny PremierCru "Les Chatelots" 2014 has an elegant garnet colour. On the nose, floral notes of rose mingle with spices. The palate is ample, supple and reveals great freshness. We find aromas of mocha and cherry. A complex and delicate wine.
Food and wine pairing : Duck and truffle parmentier - capon - woodcock salmi - wild boar with cranberries - Brillat-Savarin
