Volnay 1er Cru 2013 - Bouchard Père & Fils is an elegant, racy red Burgundy wine from a classic vintage with fine tannins. It expresses the delicate character of Volnay with finesse: a nose of ripe red fruit (cherry, raspberry), floral notes (violet) and a light, well-integrated woody touch.
On the palate, the wine is supple, well-balanced, with lovely freshness and refined structure. The 2013 is ready to drink today, offering all the finesse of the Côte de Beaune 1st growths, with a silky, persistent finish. Ideal with roast poultry or filet mignon with morels.
