GEOGRAPHICAL SITUATION
The vineyard of Vosne-Romanée is located north of Nuits Saint-Georges. The two communes of Vosne and Flagey Echezeaux are eligible for the Vosne-Romanée appellation, which produces only red wines.
CHARACTERISTICS
The Vosne-Romanée appellation covers an area of 105 hectares of which 13 are in Flagey-Echezeaux. There are a total of 14 Premiers Crus and 7 Grands Crus. The vineyard "Les Suchots" is located between Romanée Saint-Vivant and Richebourg to the South and Les Echezeaux to the North. It thus combines the richness of Richebourg and the the delicacy of Romanée Saint Vivant.
VINIFICATION AND MATURATION
The harvest is manual in small boxes in order to preserve the to preserve the integrity of the fruit. The grapes are then carefully sorted by hand and destemmed. The maceration of the grapes takes place in open wooden or stainless or stainless steel vats for 3 to 4 weeks. The vats are pumped over twice a day during the fermentation. The maturation lasts about 18 months in the barrels of our barrels of our cooperage of which a third are new.
