This Morey-Saint-Denis “En la Rue de Vergy” cuvée comes from a plot located at the top of the slope, just above the renowned Grand Cru Clos de Tart. The vines, approximately 45 years old and covering 0.5 hectares, are rooted in a terroir characterized by a high limestone content. This geological context lends the wine a particularly ethereal and elegant expression, unique within the appellation's wine landscape.

The palate is distinguished by its substantial structure and energetic yet controlled progression, supported by a fresh and persistent finish. The aromatic bouquet reveals a complex palette with notes of wild fruits such as cranberry and bramble, complemented by hints of cocoa, smoked bacon, iris, and peach. Its elegant and mouthwatering profile makes it approachable even in its youth, although aging for 10 to 15 years will allow its full finesse to fully develop. When enjoyed young, decanting is recommended.

The estate cultivates its vines with respect for the environment, using regular soil work, massal selection, and entirely manual harvesting. After sorting on a sorting table, the grapes are gravity-fed into the vats, with approximately 50% whole clusters depending on the vintage. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts, and vinification prioritizes infusion to preserve the purity of the fruit. The wine is aged for approximately 18 months in oak barrels, 20% of which are new, with limited use of sulfur and bottling according to the lunar calendar. Located between 335 and 422 meters above sea level and facing east, the vineyard benefits from a diverse limestone subsoil, including Comblanchien limestone, white oolite, and Premeaux limestone, which contribute to the wine's complexity and mineral tension.
