Saint Peray 2019 Grain de Silex - Guy Farge
From the estate
90/100 Parker
Cellaring: 2021 - 2023
Tasted by Joe Czerwinski on 20 January 2022 : "A rare Roussanne-dominated representative of the appellation, Farge's 2019 Saint Peray Grain de Silex contains only 10% Marsanne. Mainly vinified in stainless steel, with 30% in old 400-litre barrels, the nose evokes pear, peach and pineapple, while the palate is silky and elegant, balancing ample fruit with soft acids. Tasted twice (once blind), with consistent notes.
