Rivesaltes - Provenance domaine - Marjorie & Stéphane Gallet

Cuvée Rivesaltes millésimé is a natural sweet wine produced in the Roussillon region by the Roc des Anges estate. This is a renowned winegrowing estate in the Agly valley, known for its high-quality wines.

FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THE CUVÉE :

Serving temperature: To serve Cuvée Rivesaltes Ambré, we recommend that you serve it slightly chilled, at a temperature of around 12 to 14°C. This will bring out its aromas and complexity. You can serve it in a white wine glass or a tasting glass.

Why are the label and capsule perfect even though it's an old vintage?

This great wine was kept for many years in fut directly at the estate. However, bottling took place recently, which is why the appearance of the bottle is perfect; but it is indeed an old vintage wine.

TASTING :

  • Sight: This wine has an intense amber color with golden highlights. It can be quite dense and viscous, showing its concentration and richness.
  • Nose: On the nose, you can expect intense aromas of dried fruit, such as figs, raisins and candied apricots. Notes of honey, caramel and walnut may also be present, offering a beautiful aromatic complexity.
  • Palate: On the palate, this wine is generally soft and velvety, with an almost syrupy texture. Dried fruit flavors develop, accompanied by hints of honey and caramel. Hints of spice, tobacco or chocolate may also be present, depending on the vintage and evolution of the wine.
  • Finish: Cuvée Rivesaltes Ambré generally offers a long, pleasant finish, with a slight sensation of warmth. Aromas of dried fruit and honey persist, leaving a sensation of softness on the palate.
  • How to match it with a dish? : This type of wine is often enjoyed as an aperitif, with blue-veined cheeses, dried-fruit desserts, nut tarts or chocolates. It can also be enjoyed on its own, to fully appreciate its aromas and richness.
