Domaine Rostaing's Côte-Rôtie Côte Brune is an iconic wine from the northern Rhône Valley, produced from one of the appellation's most renowned terroirs. Made entirely from Syrah grapes, this wine comes from vines planted on dark schist-rich soils, producing wines that are both powerful and deeply complex. It seduces with its intense bouquet of black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant), violet, pepper, and smoky and mineral notes, typical of the Côte Brune. On the palate, the texture is dense and structured, with firm but racy tannins and remarkable length.
This is a wine with great aging potential, capable of aging for 20 to 30 years in great vintages, developing complex tertiary aromas of leather, game, truffle, and spices. At the table, it pairs well with dishes full of character such as roast rack of lamb, duck breast, game in sauce, or mature cheeses.
