- Tasting notes: Colourful wine for a Poulsard. Fruity (Morello cherry, sloe) and spicy nose. Pure and fruity on the palate with fine tannins.
- Aging potential: Wine already ready to drink. Aging potential: 8 years.
- Terroir : Clay soil from the Triassic period at "Les Bruyères" and "La Vasée". Clay soil of the Lias "La Mailloche".
- Exposure: South-East and North-West
- Surface area for this wine: approximately 1.60ha
- Age of the vines: Date of planting of the harvested vines: 1942 - 1954 - 1959 - 1969 - 1972
- Planting density: 7000 vines/ha
- Vineyard management: Biodynamic vineyard, Ecocert and Demeter certification. The vines are cultivated without weedkillers, chemical fertilisers or synthetic products. - Copper and herbal teas are used to treat the vines for sulphur.
- These vines are fully ploughed.
- Vinification: Hand-picked in crates, de-stemmed, vatted for 17 days in traditional stainless steel vats with very little pumping over, matured in tuns and half-matured for one year. Bottled without filtration. No sulphur added to this wine at any stage from harvest to bottling.
- Food pairing : Smoked pork meats, pork sausages, grilled meat, fish, smoked salmon.
