Riesling Clos des Capucins 2023 - Domaine Weinbach
The wooden boxes sold on the website are not adapted to the format of this bottle.
The wine is crafted according to biodynamic principles, with hand-harvested grapes, gentle pressing, and aging in old oak casks, which imparts finesse, balance, and complexity. It has an alcohol content of approximately 13.5% and is generally recommended to be enjoyed between 2025 and 2038, with excellent aging potential to allow its aromatic development to continue.
The Riesling Clos des Capucins is a great white wine from Alsace, produced from the prestigious historic Clos des Capucins vineyard. This sandy-loam terroir, enriched with granite gravel and pebbles, is well protected from the wind by the surrounding hills, promoting optimal grape ripeness.
Made entirely from Riesling, this dry and refined wine reveals a pronounced minerality, beautiful freshness, and an elegant aromatic expression of lemon, green apple, and white flowers, supported by a saline tension that extends the finish.
Food pairings: perfect with seafood, oysters, or delicate fish (sole, turbot), sushi/sashimi, as well as grilled poultry or dishes with light sauces. Serve chilled (10–12°C) to fully appreciate its minerality.
