The domain tells you about it :
The grape variety for this cuvée is Gamay, grown on an exceptional terroir of weathered granite with a sandy texture, located between 300 and 400 meters above sea level. The winemaking process combines nine months of aging in oak barrels for half of the blend, while the other half remains in tanks, resulting in a perfect balance between structure and freshness. The wine can be cellared for three to five years, allowing its elegant aromatic profile to fully develop.
On tasting, this Fleurie is distinguished by its refinement and elegance, characteristic of sandy granite soils. Its bouquet reveals floral, fruity, and slightly spicy notes, while the palate is complex, intense, and harmonious, without any harshness, offering a balanced and lingering sensory experience.
Fleurie is recognized as the most complete and elegant of the ten Beaujolais crus, covering a total area of 840 hectares. The 5 hectares of Château de Beauregard are located on the heights of the hamlet of Poncié, one of the historic climats of the appellation. These steep slopes, situated between 300 and 400 meters in altitude and offering a remarkable view of the Saône plain and Moulin-à-Vent, benefit from a unique terroir: weathered granitic sand, rich in silica and iron oxide, giving the wines an exceptional and distinctive aromatic expression.
