Tasting note by Joe Czerwinski on May 5, 2022: "The 2020 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc La Fontaine, a 100% Roussanne varietal, offers up scents of toasted grains, ripe peaches and pineapple. Powerful yet fresh, with a long, mouthwatering finish of lime zest and sorbet. This is a superb example of a white Chateauneuf."
- Terroir
"La Fontaine" is an ideal location for the production of great Chateauneuf du Pape white wines. The parcel has a northern exposure on clay-limestone slopes. It is very well ventilated, facing the wind (mistral). This sector allows the Roussanne to have a slow but optimal maturity while keeping a magnificent freshness of the wine.

- Vinification and maturation
Hand picked and destemmed. Direct pressing. Vinification and maturation during 10 months in barrels (50% new barrels and 50% one year old barrels).
- Advice for drinking
Ideal from 2 to 8 years with white meats, mushroom sauces, truffles, foie gras and mild cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 12-13°C minimum.
