This white boasts an expressive, Mediterranean nose: candied lemon, white peach, quince, anise, and warm herbs. On the palate, it has a silky, full texture, supported by a lemony freshness and a long, mouth-watering finish, marked by hints of anise and marzipan.
- The Domaine du Clos des Papes is a reference to Châteauneuf du Pape. They have some of their best Grenache vines planted on sandy soils to the west and south-east of the appellation. In the north-eastern part of the appellation, there are more vines planted on soils strewn with rocks, pebbles, clay and limestone.
- It is the blending of these different terroirs and grape varieties that gives birth to Clos des Papes.
- Most of these vines are devoted to red wines. Only 10% are reserved for the production of white wine. The white wine of the Clos des Papes made its debut in 1955. At the Clos des Papes, they practice biodynamic agriculture. In 2010, the property was certified "Agriculture Biologique".
