Domaine de La Solitude Tradition White 2025
The Châteauneuf-du-Pape “Tradition” Blanc from Domaine de la Solitude is an emblematic cuvée that expresses all the richness and complexity of the great Rhône Valley terroirs. Made from a harmonious blend where Clairette, Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, and Bourboulenc typically predominate, this wine benefits from an exceptional terroir composed of large, rounded pebbles and sand. To preserve the brilliance and absolute purity of the fruit, vinification and short aging are carried out primarily in tanks, complemented by a small proportion of barrels to add structure. From the first sniff, the wine seduces with its elegance and intensity, revealing aromas of white-fleshed fruits (peach, pear), floral notes of honeysuckle and acacia, enhanced by subtle hints of citrus and anise.
On the palate, this wine offers a texture that is both ample and fleshy, yet remarkably fresh. The attack is round and enveloping, but it is immediately balanced by a beautiful mineral tension and a salinity that lengthens the wine. The luscious aromatics linger in a persistent finish, marked by elegant bitterness and hints of dried fruit. Possessing excellent aging potential for a white Rhône (5 to 10 years), this gastronomic wine will pair magnificently with bouillabaisse, grilled sea bass with fennel, sweetbreads with morels, or mature goat cheeses.
