By Joe Czerwinski on May 13, 2021: "A terrific Condrieu, emanating from 70-year-old vines in the heart of the Roncharde lieu-dit, Nitro's 2019 Condrieu Coeur de Roncharde has more richness and minerality than the Ravines or Chéry bottlings. Crushed stone joins the typical floral and spicy notes, supported by hints of ripe apricot. Full-bodied and flamboyant, yet with incredible freshness and verve, this ostentatious effort should drink well for 4-5 years."

- Presentation of the cuvée : The selection of old vines located in the heart of the "La Roncharde" parcel, combined with that of the finest press juices, has made it possible to produce a cuvée of exceptional density and balance, richness and purity of fruit, depth and mineral concentration. The palate is pure and truly racy while combining an immediate smoothness and a pleasant minerality. The wine then develops gradually into a dense, intense richness, with finesse and balance. A great terroir to discover!        

- Terroir : Plot selection located on a granitic soil. 

- Age of the vines: up to 70 years

- Grape variety: 100% Viognier. 

- Density: 1.6 hectares with a southern exposure. 

- Concerning the vinification: Pneumatic pressing / Alcoholic fermentation in thermo-regulated vats / Batonnage for the barrels / Malolactic fermentation. The wines are aged for 12 months in oak barrels (40%) and stainless steel tanks (60%).
