Saint Joseph Red 2019 Passion de Terrasses - Guy Farge
From the estate
91+/100 Parker
Expected maturity: To be enjoyed between 2024 and 2035.
Tasted in 2022 by Joe Czerwinski: "Violets and blueberries appear on the nose of the 2019 Saint Joseph Passion de Terrasses. Made from century-old vines on granite in St. Jean de Muzols, it is quite powerful but not overly concentrated, given the vintage, with an easy-drinking mouthfeel, but also drying, dusty tannins. While still an excellent wine, it is slightly disappointing in the context of recent years, but give it a few years of cellaring and it should be fine."
