This vintage is the result of a lot of work over almost 10 years, clearing, establishment of paths, walls, planting (over the years 2003 and 2004). Then some time later the first vintage (2009) of this very special terroir.
SURFACE AREA: 1.75 hectares in the lieu-dit "la VIALLIERE".
NATURE OF THE SOIL: Micaschist
GRAPE VARIETY: 100 % Syrah
LOCATION: Hillside vineyards, south south-east exposure
YIELD : 40 Hl/Ha
AGE OF THE VINEYARDS: 9 years old
VINIFICATION : 100% destemming. Maceration for 4 weeks.
AGEING: 100% new demi-muids (500-litre barrels) for 18 months. Malo made in barrels
TASTING : A beautiful mouth of red fruits, a little spicy. The balance and length in the mouth reveals the finesse of the Syrah.
