Made from plots located in the south of the Côte-Rôtie appellation, known as the Côte Blonde, this great red wine is the top-of-the-range of the Pierre Gaillard estate. The exceptional terroir gives this wine finesse and elegance. The nose is very expressive, with red fruits with a touch of vanilla, the result of the ageing in oak barrels. On the palate the wine has a beautiful structure, velvety tannins and impressive length. A very great wine for laying down which is already very pleasant to drink. The Côtes-rôtie wines of the Côte Blonde are less tannic than those of the Côte Brune, and they are easier to drink when young.
