Parker's 1997 tasting: "An explosion of roasted herbs, liquorice and black fruits emerges from the glass of this full-bodied, super-concentrated 1987. Very pure, with some toasty notes from the new oak still present, this thick, juicy wine is sweet, but its colour and bouquet are more typical of a 3-4 year old than a wine approaching 10 years of age. The finish is long and rich, with more tannin than in La Mouline."
