The Iniziu red cuvée ("The Beginning") embodies the pinnacle of Domaine Alzipratu's portfolio under the AOP Corse Calvi appellation, representing the estate's most concentrated and ambitious expression. Sourced primarily from very old Niellucciu vines, this limited-production wine undergoes drastic sorting and world-class aging. Beneath its dark, impenetrable robe, it releases a highly complex nose featuring candied black cherry, cocoa, truffle, pungent spices, and smoky undertones. On the palate, the wine impresses with its opulent body, controlled power, and the sheer nobility of its tight yet silky tannins. This profound, masterfully crafted cellaring wine will flourish beautifully after a few years in the cellar, perfectly elevating dry-aged ribeye, wild boar stew, or premium cuts of meat.
