The Pumonte red is a proud, terroir-driven wine crafted under the AOP Corse Calvi appellation from the noble Sciaccarellu and Niellucciu grapes. This cuvée undergoes extended aging to structure its tannins while preserving the brightness of its fruit. Displaying a deep garnet color, it unveils a captivating nose of ripe dark fruits (blackberry, blueberry), licorice, fine leather, and intense notes of sun-drenched Corsican maquis. The palate is dense, fleshy, and beautifully structured by velvety, highly refined tannins. Its complexity and controlled power grant it excellent cellaring potential, making it the ideal partner for rich stews, game, or herb-roasted lamb.
