Produced only in exceptional vintages within the Quarts-de-Chaume Grand Cru appellation, this masterfully crafted wine is the result of a rigorous selection of the finest grapes affected by noble rot (*Botrytis cinerea*). Harvested berry by berry from the purple-schist amphitheater slopes overlooking the Layon River, the Chenin grapes undergo a slow, traditional pressing to extract a must of prodigious density. Aged patiently in wood, this extraordinary nectar pushes the boundaries of concentration while embodying the spirit of purity fostered by Ivan Massonnat’s biodynamic approach.
