Direct from the estate
96/100 - James Suckling
One has the impression of entering a peaceful clearing, although the delicate candied citrus notes contrast with this image. The balance is remarkable: a creamy texture perfectly harmonized with fine tannins and a stony minerality. The integration of fruit and wood is almost perfect.
This cuvée is predominantly Clairette, complemented by 20% Grenache blanc and 20% Roussanne.
Produced from Demeter-certified biodynamically grown grapes.
Drink now or cellar.

Aging: 10 months in barrel
This cuvée is a tribute to the ancestor of the estate's current family: Paul Martin, who was one of the first French winemakers to sell his wine in bottles in the 18th century under the name “Vin de la Solitude”. It is made according to the winemaking art of the time, with very different blends, where Grenache is not dominant. The wine is made from a large number of co-fermented grape varieties, with much longer macerations than today. The winemakers have reissued the four original “Vin de la Solitude” labels for this cuvée.
