Located in Maimbray (in the commune of Sury-en-Vaux), Domaine du Pré Semelé—managed by brothers Julien and Clément Raimbault—is an essential benchmark within the Sancerre appellation. The "Mainbré" single-parcel cuvée showcases a clay-limestone terroir that is exceptional for Pinot Noir. On the palate, this red Sancerre captivates with its brilliant ruby ​​hue and a delicate nose, defined by intense notes of fresh red fruit (Burlat cherry, wild raspberry) alongside a subtle, spicy, peppery touch. The wine offers a profile that is both luscious and structured; it is juicy, supported by silky tannins and a characteristic limestone-driven freshness that lends great elegance and vibrancy. It is a refined, gastronomic wine, perfect for pairing with roasted white meats, duck breast, or artisanal charcuterie.

The 2022 Vintage

In the 2022 vintage, the "Mainbré" cuvée benefits from the year’s generosity and beautiful, sun-ripened maturity, while maintaining the balance and freshness that serve as the estate’s signature. The fruit expresses itself with great richness and opulence, enveloping a ripe, velvety tannic structure. Already highly expressive and alluring in its youth, it offers immediate pleasure while also possessing excellent aging potential—5 to 8 years—during which it will develop further complexity (with notes of forest floor and macerated "eau-de-vie" style fruit). Serve at approximately 15–16°C (59–61°F).
