A Family and Human Endeavor: Julien and Clément Raimbault

The soul of Domaine du Pré Semelé lies primarily in the complementary, passionate work of two brothers: Julien and Clément Raimbault. Supported by the experience of their parents, Julien—who manages the vineyards—and Clément—who oversees the cellar—bring a contemporary, dynamic, and exacting vision to the craft of winemaking.

 

Driven by a profound respect for their environment, the brothers practice sustainable, reasoned viticulture, eschewing chemical herbicides in favor of soil cultivation and natural ground cover. Every action taken, whether in the vineyard or the cellar, is aimed at revealing the purest expression of the fruit and the terroir, achieved through meticulous precision during the harvest and the winemaking process.

 

 

A Mosaic of Terroirs: Limestone and Clay

The estate benefits from a mosaic of vineyard plots with great geological diversity, dominated by the renowned *Terres Blanches* (clay-limestone soils) and *Caillottes* (stony limestone soils). This complementary mix allows the estate to craft wines with a distinct, assertive identity:

 

Sancerre Blanc (Sauvignon Blanc): Renowned for its aromatic brilliance, taut freshness, and saline minerality. Ranging from harmonious blends to exceptional single-plot selections (such as the renowned *Zeste* cuvée), these white wines captivate with their pure fruit expression and remarkable length on the palate.
