The Monicault Rouge cuvée pays homage to Eugène de Monicault, a key figure in the historical preservation of the Brézème vineyards after the phylloxera epidemic. This pure Syrah perfectly illustrates the appellation's unique identity: a sun-drenched red wine, yet always underpinned by remarkable freshness. Vinification in concrete tanks and aging in a combination of tanks, barrels, and amphorae bring precision and complexity without masking the fruit.
The wine develops a rich and profound profile, marked by ripe black fruit, spices, licorice, and delicate floral notes typical of great Northern Rhône Syrahs. The palate is velvety, with fine tannins and a beautiful mineral energy on the finish. An expressive and approachable cuvée that reveals the full originality of the Brézème terroir.
