Sylvain Pataille's Bourgogne Aligoté “Champ Forey” is a real nugget from Burgundy's little-known but fascinating terroirs.This climat, located in the commune of Marsannay-la-Côte, benefits from an exposure and clay-limestone soil particularly conducive to the finest expression of aligoté.Sylvain Pataille, a winemaker renowned for his rigorous, parcel-based approach, magnifies this often underestimated grape variety by producing a vibrant, precise white wine of great complexity.Vinified with a minimum of intervention, often in old barrels, this wine reveals lemony, white flower notes, and a saline texture that is the hallmark of fine Burgundian terroirs.
