Château de Fargues 2004 in half bottle
Sauternes
95/100 Parker
Drink between 2014 and 2035
“Château de Fargues 2004 is a fantastic wine for this vintage and deserves your full attention. Its bouquet is divine, with notes of white chocolate, dried honey, marmalade, and quince, which fully unfolds with aeration. The palate is remarkably balanced, with lovely acidity. There is a beautiful structure, comparable to that of Doisy-Védrine, but with superior sophistication and elegance. The palate develops magnificently to a tender, praline-like, honeyed finish that lingers beautifully. This Château de Fargues is superb and perhaps still underappreciated. Drink now through 2035.” – Neal Martin
