Château de Fargues produces one of the most beautiful Sauternes. If it was not classified in 1855, it is for the simple reason that the property did not produce the sweet wine at that time. After more than 500 years, the de Lur-Saluces family still owns it. It was also the owner of Château d'Yquem for over 200 years. So it's no surprise that we find a similar style between the two wines: both have received the same extreme attention to detail, both in the vineyard and in the cellars.
