Tasting of the cuvée:
This is one of the most beautiful cuvées of the Domaine St Cosme. It flirts with perfection. A purple/ruby color with a stunning bouquet of creme de cassis, kirsch liqueur, scorched earth and loads of violet and floral nuances, it hits the palate with its richness, well-constructed tannins and a hell of a finish. There's no shortage of tannins and it should be left to age for 4-5 years in bottle. It is one of the great cuvées of the domain.
THE DOMAIN TELLS YOU ABOUT IT
- Very old Grenache planted on Miocene limestone sands in a place called "Hominis Fides". Whole grape harvest. Aged for twelve months: 20% in new barrels - 50% in barrels of one wine - 30% in barrels of two and three wines.
- Bottled without filtration.
