Hermitage La Chapelle 2012 - Paul Jaboulet Aîné
Directly from the estate
97/100 Parker
Cellaring potential: This great wine is best drunk now, or cellared until 2042.
Tasting note by Jeb Dunnuck in 2015: "The first year that winemaker Caroline Frey has shown that her commitment to convert to organic farming has paid off. The Hermitage la Chapelle from the 2012 vintage is a great success. It shows the purity and texture of the vintage, as well as the class of the place called "Le Méal". Offering classic aromas of black raspberry and sweet black fruits, Asian spices, toast, licorice and savory herbs. This Rhone beauty is concentrated and has enough tannic grip to estimate a longevity of over three decades."
