93/100 Wine Spectator
VARIETY & AREA
Grape varieties: 100% Pinot Noir on a 0.73 hectare plot.
TERROIR
- Vine located on the Grands Crus hill of Corton. Its South-East orientation and slight slope guarantee perfect maturity of the grapes.
- The clay-limestone soil with the presence of stones, linked to the orientation, favors, whatever the climatic conditions of the year, an exceptional early maturity of the grapes.
WINEMAKING & AGING
The grapes are harvested by hand then sorted and completely destemmed. Vatting lasted 19 days. We carry out punching twice a day during the active phase of alcoholic fermentation. Malolactic fermentation is carried out 100%. Aging is done 100% in oak barrels.
Duration of breeding: 20 months.
TASTING NOTES
- COLOR: Intense ruby red, dark purple reflection.
- NOSE: Smoky notes, tobacco, leather evolving towards notes of ripe and fresh black fruits at the same time.
- MOUTH: Dense, with pulpy and crunchy fruitiness, liquorice notes. Refined tannins. Warm finish.
