Order : Morgon La Voûte Saint Vincent 2025 - Louis Claude Desvignes
From the estate
Serving as a true gateway to the world of Domaine Louis Claude Desvignes, the *La Voûte Saint-Vincent* cuvée comes from Gamay vines around sixty years old, planted in the Douby *climat* in the northeastern part of the Morgon appellation. On this terroir of decomposed granite sand and schist, Claude-Emmanuelle and Louis-Benoît Desvignes favor traditional whole-cluster vinification with short-to-medium maceration and aging in concrete tanks, thereby preserving the fruit's vibrancy and purity.
On the nose, the wine is immediately charming, offering vibrant notes of Burlat cherry, wild raspberry, and violet, along with a subtle touch of white pepper. The palate combines luscious roundness with mouth-watering freshness, supported by the fine, silky tannins characteristic of this granitic terroir. Less austere in its youth than the cuvées from the Côte du Py, this Morgon—full of honesty and vitality—is delightful to drink for its fruit-forward character in its early years, yet it also possesses excellent aging potential of five to seven years.
