Chambolle Musigny 1er cru Les Fuées 2017 - Louis jadot
Great Bourgogne estate
94/100 James Suckling
Cellaring : Drink from 2023 or cellar for a decade or more
2019 Tasting Note: "This is a solid, serious wine for the vintage with strawberry, smoke and floral characters throughout. A chewy wine with polished tannins. Chewy but appealing. Needs time to mellow. Try after 2023.
Chambolle-Musigny is a village of great renown despite its small size. It owes its reputation to the quality of its wines and the fame of its first growths.
The "Fuées" vineyard is located on a clay-siliceous soil with many hard stones. It is located on the same vein as the "Bonnes Mares", in altitude, facing due east.

The grapes, characterized by very black berries, are destemmed and vinified in open vats for about
for about 4 weeks, thus revealing all the subtlety of this terroir. After devatting, the wines
in oak barrels in our cellars, and aged for 18 months.
