GEOGRAPHICAL SITUATION
Meursault located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune area known for its white wines.
CHARACTERISTICS
The vineyards of this village are spread over gentle hills, situated between 230 and 360 meters above sea level. Facing east, they benefit from a lot of sunshine. The limestone soils with white marl are perfectly suited to the cultivation of Chardonnay. The appellation Premier Cru Meursault Genevrières produces only white wines.
VINIFICATION AND MATURATION
The grapes are harvested manually in small crates in order to preserve the integrity of the fruit. The grapes are then gently pressed and fermented in the barrels of our cooperage, a third of which are new. The maturation lasts about 15 months on fine lees before the preparation for bottling.
