LOCATION
Pommard is located between Beaune to the north and Volnay to the south. On the hillside, most of the vineyards are oriented towards the East and the South-East. Pommard produces only red wines and does not have any great growths.
INFORMATION ABOUT THE VINEYARD
The Clos de la Commaraine has an area of 4 hectares. Oriented to the East next to the village. The soil is The soil is deep and well drained on the surface. Some springs in the subsoil bring freshness to the soil. Moreover, the soil is quite stony.
VINIFICATION AND MATURATION
The destemmed grapes ferment in vats for 3 to 4 weeks. The wine is aged in oak barrels produced by our Cadus cooperage for 18 months.
