Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières 2016 - Magnum - Bouchard Père et Fils
In the past, the vines of this great Meursault must have been surrounded by junipers, whose name of the climate keeps the memory. This prestigious appellation was classified as "Tête de Cuvée" as early as 1855 by Doctor Lavalle in his reference work "Histoire et Statistiques de la vigne et des Grands Vins de la Côte-d'Or". At the time, we did not yet speak of Premiers Crus and Grands Crus. The Maison Bouchard Père & Fils owns 2.65 hectares of Meursault Genevrières, which are often among the first parcels of Chardonnay harvested at the Domaine.
