Reviewed by William Kelley – stands out as the "wine of the vintage" in the Médoc. Its deep bouquet combines cassis and black fruits with delicate notes of mint, orange, pencil lead, and spice. On the palate, it is quite full-bodied and highly concentrated, with a multidimensional fruit core supported by ripe and refined tannins. The finish is long and vibrant, completely transcending the limitations of the vintage. This great classic, reminiscent of the 1996 but far superior, is made from a blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot. Drink between 2031 and 2065.
