Château La Clarté de Haut Brion 2016
Second wine - Graves
La Clarté de Haut-Brion, a wine shared by Château Haut-Brion and Château La Mission Haut-Brion, has a unique style and is a perfect introduction to the very exclusive white wines of Domaine Clarence Dillon
Grape varieties : Sauvignon 23,7% , Semillon 76,3%.
The 2016 vintage : Despite a winter and spring marked by complicated climatic conditions - heavy rainfall and temperatures below the seasonal average - the flowering took place with an almost miraculous homogeneity. The great drought of the summer ended with a rainy spell in mid-September, very beneficial for the end of the ripening cycle. In October, no rain came to disturb our harvest. The cool nights, combined with the warm days, allowed us to produce wines that were rich in color but also fresh and fruity. Paradox or miracle of nature? We would rather answer, the work of Men and the predominance, once again, of the great terroirs.
The Clarté de Haut-Brion 2016 has a beautiful pale yellow color with green reflections. The nose is delicate, white flower, slightly spicy. On the palate, the wine is suave at first, then sappy and fruity until the finish. Nice Clarté de Haut-Brion where the Semillon dominates.
