Psi 2023 - Dominio de Pingus at the best price
Ribera del Duero - Peter SISSECK
94/100 Parker
Drinking window: 2026–2034
"Once bottled, the 2023 PSI remains true to the final blend I tasted the previous year. It proves juicy, ripe, and accessible, with a slightly more expressive and heady profile—hovering around 14% alcohol. This year, the final blend incorporates about 10% Garnacha; part of it was vinified co-fermented with the Tempranillo, and the rest separately. New Garnacha plantings are planned for the future. This wine evokes the classic Ribera del Duero wines of yesteryear, possessing that elegant rusticity I appreciate so much. It is fragrant and floral, revealing notes of dried flowers. Twenty percent of the wine was aged in barriques, while the remainder matured in oak vats, all for approximately 14 months. The tannins are polished; time in the bottle seems to have benefited it, as PSI’s tannins generally require time to refine. While they soften relatively quickly, the wine still calls for a bit of patience. It was bottled in May 2025." Luis Gutiérrez
