An intense nose marked by aromas of dark chocolate, blueberries, ripe blackberries, and plums, enhanced by notes of dried lavender, toasted bread, and precious wood. On the palate, the structure is medium-bodied to full-bodied, supported by firm tannins that are still a little chewy. This wine needs time to soften and reveal its full harmony. Best enjoyed from 2025 onwards.
Les Tours de Laroque: the second wine
Positioning
Les Tours de Laroque is Château Laroque's second wine. It aims to express the style and terroir of the estate in a more accessible version: a charming, fruity wine that is already enjoyable in its youth.
Grape varieties, terroir and method
The blend is generally dominated by Merlot (often around 95%), complemented by a touch of Cabernet Franc. Grown on the same limestone and clay terroir as the grand vin, it benefits from the same mineral identity. However, the vinification and aging processes are more flexible, with limited use of new wood and a shorter aging period, in order to preserve a soft and delicious texture.
Taste profile
Les Tours de Laroque stands out for its accessibility: a fruity, supple and charming wine that can be enjoyed young. Less concentrated and less tannic than the grand vin, it nevertheless offers excellent value for money, ideal for discovering the world of Château Laroque without waiting for long years of aging.
