Saint Joseph Red 2020 Silice - Coursodon
Pierre and Jérome Coursodon: Wine from the estate
(90 - 92)/100 Parker
Cellaring potential : 2022 - 2028
Tasting by Joe Czerwinski on 20 January 2022: "I tasted three different lots that will go into the 2020 Saint Joseph Silice. The largest, from an early silica-rich site, was medium-bodied, silky and red-fruited, with floral and pastry notes. The next batch, from a more granitic, hillside site, was fuller-bodied and richer, but supple and plush, loaded with black cherries and black olives. Finally, a smaller batch from older vines on a more clayey site revealed notes of crushed stone and red cherries, with more tannic structure and length. This should be another successful vintage for this cuvee."
