St Joseph Blanc 2015 Les Oliviers in Magnum - Ferraton Pere & Fils

50% Marsanne, 50% Roussanne. Vines are about 20 years old.
SOIL Decomposed granite, the "gore". On a south-facing hillside in the commune of Tournon-sur-Rhône.
VINIFICATION
After pressing, the must is cold-settled, then placed in oak barrels (228 litre and demi-muids (600 litre) barrels, 30% new) to carry out its alcoholic fermentation.
MATURING
The malolactic fermentation takes place in barrels as well as the maturing. The wine is aged on fine lees for a period of 8 to 10 months depending on the vintage.
TASTING
Pale gold colour.
Nose : aromas of ripe white fruits (white peaches), aromas of white flowers, with toasty notes.
Palate : complex wine, with a nice acidity, very fat, very mineral.
