Chardonnay Les Graviers 2023 - Bénédicte et Stéphane Tissot (Arbois)
Jura - Domaine André et Mireille Tissot (ancien nom)
Terroir: Bajocian limestone.
Tasting: A powerful wine, more open and mineral. Fruity and mineral. A rather Burgundian style (like a Chablis). Full and lively on the palate.
Vinification: Hand picked, aged in one third new oak barrels. Aged in the same containers for 16 months.
Alcohol content : 14,5
Ageing : 2026 - 2040
Grape variety : Chardonnay
A superb white wine from the Jura region, remarkably precise, made from Chardonnay grapes grown on Bajocian limestone scree around Arbois. Vinified in barrels (including a portion of new oak) and then aged for an extended period on its lees, it reveals a profile that is at once taut, saline, and ample, supported by beautiful structure and a very pure, chalky minerality. The nose blends ripe citrus, crisp pear, white flowers, fresh almond, and a slightly buttery touch, while the palate seduces with its balance of energy, depth, and a mouthwatering finish. A finely crafted terroir-driven wine, vibrant, elegant, and built for aging.
Alcohol content: 14% vol.
