Bollinger PN TX20 : An extremely rare champagne
Champagne Bollinger
92/100 Parker
Drink between 2026 and 2035
This new Blanc de Noirs NV PN TX20, named after the village of Tauxières (from which it derives its abbreviation), is composed of 40% Tauxières grapes. The remainder of the blend is primarily from Aÿ-Champagne and Avenay-Val-d'Or. This cuvée is made from the 2020 vintage (48%), complemented by reserve wines from 2019 (aged in tanks) as well as from 2012 and 2008 (both aged in magnums). Disgorged in February 2025 with a dosage of eight grams per liter, this champagne offers expressive aromas of ripe pear, mandarin peel, clove, and brioche. On the palate, it is full-bodied and textured, with lively acidity and a core of Generous fruit. The finish is long, with a subtle sweetness that makes it one of the least dry expressions of the house's Pinot Noir champagnes. Vinified in equal parts in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, this champagne is made from approximately 80% grapes from Bollinger's own vineyards." Kristaps Karklins
The estate says:
"Crafted around a single grape variety: Pinot Noir, each PN edition embodies the winemaking expertise of Champagne Bollinger. For PN TX20, Bollinger has chosen, from among the different terroirs and vintages that make up the cuvée, to highlight Tauxières and the 2020 harvest. A complex palette—between freshness and intense richness—revealing the high potential of this grape variety."
