Château d'Yquem 2003 - From the Lur Saluces cellars
Sauternes - Premier Grand Cru Classé
98/100 WS
Tasting this 2003 Yquem transports you to the tropics! Notes of mango, papaya, and pineapple are enhanced by a hint of marmalade. Long and very caressing to the very end, yet never heady or overwhelming, the accents of orange fruit paste, ginger, and almond add precision and clarity. This great wine displays all the warmth of the vintage, while retaining energy and dynamism. Impressive.
