This cuvée is a blend of different terroirs of Côte-Rôtie, with a majority of parcels coming from the north of the appellation.
NATURE OF THE SOIL: Micaschiste and Loess
GRAVE VARIETIES: 95 % Syrah , 5 % Viognier
SITUATION : Vineyards on hillsides with a South/South-East exposure
AVERAGE YIELD: 38 HL/HA
AGE OF THE VINEYARDS: 1/4 over 50 years old, 1/2 over 10 years old, 1/4 under 10 years old
VINIFICATION: 100% de-stemming, followed by 3 weeks maceration in stainless steel vats.
AGEING: 40% in new barrels, 30% in barrels used for 1 wine and 30% in barrels and demi-muids used for 2 wines. Malolactic made in barrels.
