Sancerre Red 2023 - Domaine Vacheron
Cellaring : Now to 2030.
Tasting : Vacheron's red Sancerre opens with an intense, spicy, concentrated bouquet of black cherries, blackberries, berries, chocolate and pepper. Intense and juicy on the palate, with silky tannins: this is a seamless Pinot Noir with lingering freshness, grip and salinity, as well as forest fruits and hints of bitter orange in the retro-olfaction. This is an excellent, refreshing red Sancerre that is already drinking perfectly well.
Jean-Laurent and Jean-Dominique Vacheron's estate, certified biodynamic since 2005 and growing 34 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc and 11 hectares of Pinot Noir in the Sancerre PDO, produces world-class white and also red wines mainly but not exclusively on flint soils.
